















Who is Dreamland Piggery & Abattoir
Dreamland Piggery & Abattoir, founded by Anna Phosa in 2004, has grown from a modest beginning with just four piglets into a leading full-service pig production enterprise in South Africa. Located in Vanderbijlpark, the farm specializes in breeding, raising, and processing pigs to supply high-quality pork products to major retailers, including Pick n Pay.
By 2016, Dreamland was delivering between 300 to 350 pigs weekly, demonstrating its significant role in the nation’s pork industry. Beyond production, the farm is committed to community empowerment, providing employment opportunities, and supporting local farmers by sourcing additional pigs to meet growing demand.

Our Business
Dreamland Piggery participates in several parts of the pork value chain, but the core business is an abattoir:
Our abattoir can readily export its meat products to some SADEC countries.
We operate a modern high-throughput red meat abattoir compliant with all local and some international industries, markets an environmental requirements and regulations.
Other secondary production activities undertaken by Dreamland Piggery are:
We plant yellow maize and soya beans. We produce for market currently and it was previously used for the piggery feed mixing.
Soya beans are harvested and sold to other markets.

Our Suppliers
Dreamland Piggery primarily sources pigs from fully environmental compliant farmers. Through regular farm inspections, we ensure that all pigs supplied to us come from humane breeding facilities.
