Yellow Maize

Our yellow maize fields are a cornerstone of our sustainable farming system. This nutrient-rich crop serves as a key component of our livestock feed, ensuring that our pigs receive a balanced diet for optimal growth and health. Additionally, our maize contributes to food security within local communities, supporting both agricultural sustainability and economic growth.

Soya

Soya is an essential crop in our farming operations, providing a high-protein supplement for our pig feed. Cultivating soya allows us to enhance the nutritional quality of our livestock feed while also playing a role in sustainable agriculture. By growing soya on-site, we reduce reliance on external sources, lower our carbon footprint, and support a self-sustaining farm-to-feed cycle.

Why Choose Us

Commitment to Quality

Dreamland Piggery has established contracts with major retailers like Pick n Pay, reflecting their dedication to providing high-quality pork products that meet stringent industry standards.

Sustainable and Ethical Farming Practices

The farm integrates crop production with pig farming, cultivating yellow maize and soya to feed their pigs. This approach supports a balanced, eco-friendly agricultural system that reduces waste and enhances efficiency.

Empowerment and Community Development

As the only black female commercial pig farmer in South Africa, Anna Phosa's success story serves as an inspiration and contributes to the empowerment of women and black entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector.

Proven Track Record

Starting with just four pigs in 2004, Anna Phosa expanded Dreamland Piggery to supply hundreds of pigs weekly to major retailers, demonstrating reliability and growth.
